Boston Hilton Hotel Workers Launch Open-Ended Strike at Two Locations

**Boston Hotel Workers Begin Open-Ended Strike at Major Hilton Properties**

BOSTON (WHDH) – Hundreds of hotel workers from the two largest Hilton hotels in Boston have launched an open-ended strike as of Sunday, demanding a new agreement with their employers.

This strike differs from the previous limited-duration walkouts that occurred over Labor Day weekend. This time, workers have vowed not to return to their jobs until a new contract is reached with the hotel companies.

The striking workers represent a wide range of hotel staff, including room attendants, housepersons, front desk agents, telephone operators, doorpersons, bellhops, cashiers, cooks, dishwashers, banquet staff, and more.

Protesters were seen picketing outside the Park Plaza Hotel and the Hilton at Logan Airport.

The workers had previously voted to authorize a citywide strike at 36 Boston hotels after their contracts expired on August 31.
