In Las Vegas, Nevada, union members and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas remain at a standstill in their contract negotiations after a year of working without a five-year contract. According to officials from the Culinary Union, no new negotiations are scheduled with Virgin Hotels.
The union members had previously staged a two-day strike outside the hotel casino in May. When asked about the possibility of another strike, the Culinary Union stated that there were no current plans to announce.
The main point of contention between the union members and Virgin Hotels has been wages. In May, Virgin Hotels presented its “Last, Best and Final Offer” to the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and Bartenders Union Local 165.
FOX5 attempted to contact Virgin Hotels for a comment on the ongoing negotiations but has not received a response yet.
