**IHG Hotels & Resorts Expands Spanish Portfolio with Four New Properties**

IHG Hotels & Resorts is significantly growing its presence in Spain by signing four new hotels across various brands, including the Vignette Collection and Hotel Indigo. This expansion will bring IHG’s total number of open and signed rooms in Spain to nearly 13,000.

The newly signed properties include Vignette Collection Mallorca – Finca Banyols, Vignette Collection Jerez, Hotel Indigo Gandia – Beach, and Holiday Inn Express San Sebastian – Errenteria.

The Vignette Collection Mallorca – Finca Banyols, owned by Prevario Banyols and managed by Hotel Collection International, will be the first Vignette Collection hotel in Spain. Set to open in the first half of 2025, this 45-room property will offer guests a unique experience surrounded by vineyards and olive trees.

Vignette Collection Jerez, the second Vignette Collection property in Spain, is located in the heart of Jerez. Signed with Senator Hotels & Resorts, it will offer a luxury experience rich in local history, cuisine, and culture. The hotel is expected to open in the second half of 2025.

Hotel Indigo Gandia – Beach, also in partnership with Senator Hotels & Resorts, will feature 40 rooms with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. This beachfront property in Gandia will open in mid-2025 and will include a beach club, pool, bar, and restaurant that highlights local flavors.

The Holiday Inn Express San Sebastian – Errenteria, managed by Hotel Collection International, will open in mid-2026. This 82-room hotel is located near San Sebastian, offering convenient access to the airport and the French border, further strengthening the Holiday Inn brand in Spain.

Willemijn Geels, IHG Hotels & Resorts Europe development vice-president, commented on the expansion: “Spain is one of IHG’s priority markets, and it’s fantastic to see our footprint grow so significantly. We’ve signed nearly 700 rooms in Spain in the first nine months of this year alone. This expansion reflects the trust our owners have in our brands to deliver strong returns, and our commitment to supporting them in capturing demand and driving performance through our powerful enterprise.”

Geels also highlighted IHG’s plans to accelerate the growth of both its mainstream and Luxury & Lifestyle segments in Spain’s key urban and leisure destinations, calling it a key growth market for the company.

As of June 30, 2024, IHG operates 55 hotels across eight brands in Spain, including Six Senses and InterContinental. The company also has 22 open Iberostar properties, with 12 more in development, further enhancing its resort and all-inclusive offerings.

This year, IHG has announced the development of five new hotels, further diversifying its Luxury & Lifestyle, Premium, and Essentials collections.
