IHG Hotels & Resorts Celebrates 100th voco Hotel Opening in Under Seven Years
IHG Hotels & Resorts has reached a major milestone with the opening of its 100th voco hotel, just seven years after launching the brand in 2018. As the fastest-growing brand in IHG’s Premium collection, voco has seen record-breaking growth in 2024, with a strong pace of hotel openings and new signings. The brand now spans more than 25 countries, with expansion plans underway for Türkiye, Malaysia, and Aruba over the next two years.
In 2023, voco had 100 hotels either open or in the development pipeline. Since then, the brand has nearly doubled its total number of properties, a testament to the strength of IHG’s global platform and its strategy to accelerate growth through conversions. Today, voco boasts 100 operational hotels and an additional 95 in the pipeline.

Among the brand’s latest highlights is the upcoming opening of voco The Shelby | Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. This 241-room hotel marks voco’s debut in the state and is the brand’s first beachfront property in the U.S. Designed with a blend of retro beach charm and modern sophistication, the hotel features private balconies, ocean views, and interiors inspired by the vibrant spirit of Myrtle Beach. Guests will be just minutes from popular attractions such as the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, SkyWheel, and Broadway at the Beach.
