**Harrison County, Miss. (WLOX) -** Hotels across Harrison County are gearing up for a busy holiday weekend, with many expecting to be fully booked as tourists flock to the coast for Labor Day.
Several hotels have reported that they anticipate selling out of rooms, with some even organizing special events to kick off the holiday festivities. As Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, visitors can look forward to a variety of entertainment options along the coast.
Jolinda Livesay, a front desk associate at The Inn at Long Beach, shared her excitement about the influx of guests. “We are already busier today than we were last weekend. Numbers are picking up for the weekend, but that is pretty typical for Labor Day, so we’re excited to see everyone come down,” she said.
Tessy Lambert, Chief Marketing Officer for Lodging and Leisure Investments, highlighted the unique offerings at Margaritaville. “That’s the good thing about Margaritaville. You have the best of both worlds. Our guests can have all the fun they can stand here in the family entertainment center and then go outside and have another adventure,” Lambert explained.
Despite the possibility of rain, hotels remain optimistic, expecting high occupancy rates thanks to their indoor amenities.
