Sarah Becker, known for her appearance on MTV’s ‘The Real World’ season 5, has passed away at the age of 52.
Becker’s family confirmed to TMZ that she died by suicide in her Illinois home last week. She had moved to Illinois to care for her mother and sister and had plans to return to California eventually. Becker had been struggling with mental health issues and had recently been in a skateboarding accident.
During her time on ‘The Real World’ in 1996, Becker was characterized as a “19-year-old trapped in a 25-year-old body.” She hailed from La Jolla, California, and was working in the comic book industry for Wildstorm Productions at the time.

Daniel Norton described her as “pure sunshine,” while Joel Benjamin called her “one of the nicest people.” Jeff Mariotte remembered her as someone who “added sunshine to every room she entered.”
